Congrats to Katie Manders on being named 2nd Team All-District 9-5A. Katie is a tough, physical defender who played in district games wearing a face mask after surgery to repair three broken bones in her face. She recorded 1 goal and 3 assists in district play.

Congrats to Riley Pulley on being named 2nd Team All-District 9-5A. Riley played nearly every minute of every district game at holding midfield. She was the glue that held the team together, contributing 1 goal and 3 assists.

Congrats to ChloeReyna09 on being named 2nd Team All-District 9-5A. Chloe is a crafty winger who can stop on a dime and turn defenders inside out. She scored 7 goals and had 7 assists in district play.

Congrats to Margo on being named 1st Team All-District 9-5A. Margo’s ability on the ball made her transition from center back to outside back seamless. She contributed 2 assists and was a constant target on set pieces in district play.

Congrats to Lainey Pierce on being named 1st Team All-District 9-5A. Lainey’s versatility allowed her to play every attacking position this season. A powerful dribbler, she excels in space and racked up 11 goals and 7 assists in district play.

Congrats to Cam Newhouse on being named 1st Team All-District 9-5A. Cam is a smart, fast center back. As a freshman, she played with composure and confidence, sweeping behind the back line. She added 1 assist in district play.

Congrats to Brenna Wallace on being named 1st Team All-District 9-5A. Brenna is an aggressive center back whose athleticism is tough for opposing forwards to match. As a sophomore, she has emerged as a top defender. She added 1 goal and 1 assist in district play.

Congrats to Ella York on being named 1st Team All-District 9-5A. Ella is a box-to-box midfielder with excellent vision and creativity in tight spaces. She was central to everything we did in the attack, contributing 11 goals and 8 assists in district play.

Congrats to Kenlea Swadener on being named 1st Team All-District 9-5A. Kenlea is one of the top goalkeepers in the state. She made big saves and was outstanding in the build-up with her passing. She posted 12 clean sheets and allowed just 2 goals in 14 district games.

Congrats to kinley on being named District 9-5A Newcomer of the Year. Kinley has it all: relentless effort, versatility, excels in tight spaces, and plays with passion and positivity. She scored 12 goals and had 1 assist despite missing 7 district games.

Congrats to Emma Nelson on being named District 9-5A MVP. Emma, our talisman, is our 1st player to be named District MVP. Playing on the wing, she is dangerous in 1v1 situations, two-footed, and clinical in front of goal. Emma finished district play with 24 goals and 14 assists.

After 11 years, today was my last day working with Coach Duran, an amazing mentor, coworker, & friend. I was honored to have him as a groomsman at my wedding last year. Sad to see him retire but wish him all the best! Thanks for all you did for Lovejoy Boys Soccer & Lovejoy Girls Soccer!

Another record-breaking season for Lovejoy Girls Soccer! Tough to lose the last game, but even tougher knowing it was our last with the seniors. Huge thanks to Coach Vince Williams, Coach Duran, the parents, the players, and especially the seniors. Can’t wait for next season! 2️⃣6️⃣4️⃣
