Our hearts are broken as former Gopher Charles Rogers tragically passed over the weekend while running the Brooklyn Marathon. Our thoughts are with the Rogers family and all of his loved ones.

The best way to compete with “cheaper” or “free” is… Don’t. Lowering your standard doesn’t make you competitive—it makes you worse. Hold the line. Prove your value. Win with quality and authenticity.

Do coaches have favorites? Absolutely. Do employers have favorites? Yes. People who work hard in the dark, commit themselves to the goals of the group & show up to compete daily should be valued higher than those who don’t. If you can’t understand that, work a little harder.

Hard work pays off! Anndi gets up for ETS at 5:45, and doesn’t getting home from practice until 10 pm. She watches film, gives up weekends with friends, and probably even dreams about VB. Today she was runner up in a national championship game and became an All-American.

But some of yall can’t lift 2 days before your elite super select tournament where you travel 300 miles to play teams that are within 10 miles of each other

Abigail Shrier: "The number one symptom of depression is rumination, pathologically obsessing over your pain. Getting out of your house and accomplishing anything is good for you, sitting around, talking and thinking about your problems is a bad habit."

Mindset and environment matter. The people around you who believe in you, push you, and help you realize what you're capable of can make all the difference. For context, she started with 35lbs and finished with 100lbs after looking at us like we were crazy to suggest trying it.

Funny thing about football… and life. The players who invest the most time, energy, and effort into preparation are usually the ones who shine brightest on game night. Those who don’t prepare? They struggle. Time promotes and exposes! It is what it is! Life works the same way.
