It’s just the reality…What you do in high school gets you recruited but it doesn’t get you playing time in college…every minute you play in college is earned whether you are a McDonalds all american or you weren’t even ranked…it doesn’t matter…YOU HAVE TO PROVE YOURSELF

If you want to play at the college level and be successful you need to be studying the game! That includes your own games and actual games! Hs to college is an adjustment for any player…the quicker you can adjust and the more prepared you are when you get there the better!

No coach wants to coach effort…it should already be in you! You should already want to work hard and be the best you can be. If a coach has to constantly push you to go harder that’s not a good sign and it can lead to coaches questioning how serious about it you truly are!!

If you are freshman and you went to college out of shape…you automatically put yourself behind in the process and are now playing catch up! Work hard, do extra conditioning, change your situation and never put yourself in this situation again!

This is exactly why I wrote my book “Talent Is Not Enough” and started my “Talent Is Not Enough”mentorship program for athletes!!! Athletes need to get prepared before they reach the college level because too many think their talent is going to be what sustains them…it’s not!
