Cerro Coso women’s basketball 24-25

First year for Cerro Coso Community College women’s basketball in a decade. We earned our first win and finished 2-1 this past weekend at San Joaquin Delta College in the Jocelyn Mancebo tournament. Great weekend and some highlights of our sophomores coming soon

Shaniyah McCarthy did a bit of everything at the Delta tournament. Scored 24 on the number 5 team in the state. Had a 15 point 15 rebound stat line in game two and game 3 managed to get involved in every way with 13 points 9 rebounds 6 assists! Must have, program leader 🔵

Tonight is the Final conference game of the season for Cerro Coso community college. Very successful first season hoping to finish with a 23-5 record. Many accomplishments and milestones have been reached. Excited to see what the future holds!

Juco sophomore Shaniyah McCarthy had a year. The 5’9 scorer led the way for our 24 win program averaging 19 points, 10 reb, and 3.5 ast. She was selected as the IEAC Conference player of the year, all-conference, and 2nd team all-state. She finished the season with 570 points
