#Uganda: Supported by ICAN, Coalition for Action on 1325 organized a retreat for women #peacebuilders using Ciase Secure Here & Now tool. The retreat focused on personal, physical, emotional, spiritual, political, & economic security, using the tool to reimagine what security means for #WPBs.

#Yemen: Abductees' Mothers Association launched focus group sessions to promote awareness & acceptance of gender-sensitive #TransitionalJustice, to support long-lasting peace in Yemen through accountability, reconciliation, & knowledge exchange. Learn more: ama-ye.org/the-abductees-…

#Palestine: As part of the #16DaysOfActivism, WCLAC Palestine مركز المرأة للإرشاد القانوني's Women Protection Networks organized a series of meetings to support Gazan women residing in the West Bank, including providing psychosocial support activities.

Margibi County, #Liberia: WEDOL implemented a project in collaboration with the Women NGO Secretariat of Liberia & supported by the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women, to raise awareness of & address female genital mutilation (#FGM) & to promote women & girls’ rights.

Challenging stereotypical gender roles & cultural norms is key to localizing peace efforts. Earlier this year, we hosted an important 🗨️ with Conciliation Resources, an INGO partner of our #RapidResponse 🪟, on how real change is rooted in local leadership & community-driven efforts.

We join the rest of the world to celebrate the life of an incredible woman, Mrs. Jessica Babihuga Nkuuhe, your contribution to the WPS Agenda and Women’s movement globally will always be remembered.
