It is also so important because the majority of passing offenses are timing based. You don’t have time to dance at the line of scrimmage, you have to eat up the cushion of the DB & get open. Understanding how your route times up w/ your QB’s footwork is important

Ways to provide/maintain Vertical Value: Get the most out of your stance & start- you should sink into your stance so that your 1st movement is out instead of down Burst off the ball full speed on all routes regardless of the depth Keep your eyes up, downfield or on the DB
