Good to see the Coastwatch surveys indicating nitrate levels lower in coastal areas. Less chemical fertilisers, some reduced sewage & weather all possibly playing a part. Not good to see less animal life sightings & issues with pollution reporting. irishtimes.com/environment/20…

Today, i am at Coastwatch today. I learned a lot about oysters and how important they are for the sea biodiversity in keeping our waters clean. It is very important for us sea swimmers.

Delighted that Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council hosted a workshop in our Assembly Hall with Coastwatch on “Preventing Oil & Chemical Pollution through Citizen & Local Authority Collaboration”, with field trips to the native oyster bed in the DLR Marina & 40ft.
