Today's #BlackHistoryMonth author spotlight is Serlina Boyd, founder of the first major Black children's magazines cocoagirlmag and cocoaboymag

It is so wonderful to have a magazine like this in our school! It is important that all children get a chance to see different magazines and representations. I wish I had something like this in school when I was younger ❤️❤️❤️🖤🖤🖤 #BHTP #RepresentationMatters cocoagirlmag

Pennies To Pounds You are necessary! And I have been taking notes, but the wider community needs to know about what you’re doing. The earlier in life the better.🙏🏾 cocoagirlmag is there a way we can have an article about finance literacy in the coming issue with Pennies To Pounds ?

A joy to speak to Serlina Boyd, the brains behind cocoagirlmag cocoagirlmag. Serlina was told that her business idea wasn’t viable. Today Britain’s first major Black children’s magazines have garnered more than a million readers: wotcmagazine.com/issuenineteen-… #magazines #SmallBiz

Em cocoagirlmag cocoaboymag I've been a fan of the cocoaboymag and cocoagirlmag from day one, they're great! We subscribe to both and have been wonderful for positivity and representation for our kids. Also a great magazine for all kids to gain more knowledge and always packed full of fun activities!👍🏾

Fabian Darku cocoagirlmag cocoaboymag Same here. 🥰And I definitely agree they completely should be in all school libraries and homes just like any other magazine. It’s madness to believe it once didn’t exist. The importance of representation and education is evident. Huge fan!

This is such a positive and important message. I cannot wait to watch this with Ivy and then with my class family. Positive Representation matters and it’s about time Nigeria and Africa as a continent is shown this way.💛🥹😍👏🏼 cocoagirlmag instagram.com/reel/C32gOX-IC…
