The term punt gun is sometimes used for any large shotgun, but it is a class unto itself. The spent casing on the right was made by Greener who also made punt guns for market hunting waterfowl. The paper hull 12 gauge on the left is for scale.

A lever-action flintlock from 1683. Signed "Dorrtlo" and dated on the breech, this rifle uses the trigger guard as a lever to rotate the breech after each firearm and pick up powder and a new projectile from internal magazines.
