ICYMI: We’re the team of baristas at Adda Coffee and Tea, and yesterday we announced our demand for union recognition! Why are we unionizing? Some of our coworkers are here to answer that very question. ✊

NEW: Adda coffee in Pittsburgh closed all shops. Says it’s been operating at loss since opening in 2016. Abrupt closure comes same day some Adda baristas announced intent unionize. Appears to be 3rd PGH coffee shop since 2017 to close after union efforts triblive.com/business/pitts…

The math wasn’t mathing for Sukanta when we read him our letter demanding union recognition… But closing all of our stores the very same day and claiming financial hardship despite continued expansion of the Adda brand? That math DEFINITELY isn’t mathing for us either… 🤔
