Many graduates of the University of New England’s College of Osteopathic Medicine have chosen to practice in rural Maine, attracted by its natural beauty, strong community ties, and the opportunity to serve underserved populations.

The University of New England (UNE) recently hosted a community event on improving emergency care for patients with dementia, highlighting the critical role of effective communication and patient-centered care.

UNE COM's First-Generation Student Interest Group was founded Hope Hutchinson, OMS-I and Alicia Muench, OMS-II with goals to pair current UNE COM students with mentors who identify as first generation.

UNE COM Medical Student Hassan Hassan, OMS 2, conducted research for "Empirical pharmacodynamic model of phenylephrine and intrathecal bupivacaine for mean arterial pressure prediction in obstetric patients presenting for elective cesarean delivery under spinal anesthesia."

Yesterday Cayenne "Annie" the mini dachshund joined us for a much-needed study break as well as to celebrate her third birthday! From snuggles to smiles, Annie continues to share her positive energy.
