As we head into the #weekend, our #team move down to Wales, where on arrival they begin their attempt at the Cambrian Patrol. The event, heralded as the British Army’s premier patrols competition, is conducted annually near Brecon, in Wales. More ⬇️

How’s this for some Monday motivation..! This #weekend, you’ll recall, we hope, that our team were competing at the Cambrian Patrol Competition in Wales. 1/

Being the first team from the Regiment to complete the event and one of only 10 Reserve teams this year, makes the prize much sweeter. Huge congratulations to all the team and the training team 🐺

Working under the callsign H10B, they covered 40 miles through the hills and lakes of Brecon as they took on the British Army’s premier patrol competition, and secured a bronze medal for their efforts. 2/

To be awarded the certificate, AB had to demonstrate that he was able to provide safety or support cover to a range of craft, particularly sailing or those windsurfing. More ⬇️

TANK ACTION.! This #weekend our team have been dry training and conducting simulated anti armour contacts in the Dismounted Close Combat Trainer with the NLAW. The Next generation Light Anti Armour Weapon is a shoulder launched single use weapon for neutralising armour. 1/

With an effective range of 800 metres, the weapon delivers its warhead by either top down proximity fuse or a contact fuse in direct attack. 2/

Today at 1100 we will reflect and remember our fallen. More than that though, we’ll remember our duty to the fallen; that they expect us to unflinchingly go into harms way when required, as they did. We will remember them.

Diwali is a traditionally Indian celebration and we were lucky enough to be invited to join the EdinburghHinduMandir during their festival. Lt Dario S and three Pipers joined the musicians and dancers last night in Edinburgh.

Last night, in Cupar, the OC C, Major Graeme H welcomed the new Sqn Sgt Maj into post, WO2 Jock M, who will now assume the role of SSM C. Additionally, he presented Sgt Chris N his commanders badge, having now qualified technically and tactically as a Lt Cav Comd.

Having seized the initiative and launched herself into the winter sports arena, Tpr Hattie W, of C Sqn is in Austria competing at the Novice Ice Racing Camp, Ex Racing Ice 1 at the Olympiaworld Stadium in Innsbruck. Short 🧵 ⬇️

It’s always heart warming to see hard work rewarded, and for Tpr Sam C of A Sqn in Ayr, never more so than this #weekend After another blistering performance this reporting year, the CO, Lt Col Mark G promoted him to LCpl yesterday. Richly deserved and congratulations Sam 🐺

Over the weekend both C and E Sqn’s teamed up to conduct some training. Once again getting acquainted with the NLAW, and Counter Explosive Ordnance (C-EO) training. More ⬇️

Having occupied a patrol base in Beeston Village, within Ballykinler Trg Area, troops from B Sqn began their routine in defence over the weekend. A thread 🧵 ⬇️

They didn’t get it all their own way though, with an adaptable and cunning enemy force opposing them, they were forced to tackle myriad incidents, including explosive ordnance and small arms fire. More ⬇️
