Today was a big day! I have officially been cleared of all my medical tests for kidney donation. My recipient was cleared as well. Furthermore, my FMLA was approved for the surgery. This just got real! November 6th, here we come!

We’ve started a new thing at Nimitz. Every other week I pick a teacher to start a rumor for a staff dress up day. Then on Friday we all dress up and freak out the students! It’s awesome! This week’s rumor was “Tacky Tourist Day!”

One of my favorite things about being a principal is building relationships with the local businesses. Gary and I were blessed to worship with Pastor Ed and his wife, Ricky, from the local church across from Nimitz tonight. They have been so good to me and my Seahawks.

One perk of being a donor at University Health Transplant Institute is that you get to pick the first two songs played in the operating room. My middle schoolers chose them for me. And they are….🤣😂🤣 NimitzMS_NEISD

Following an appointment today, I had lunch with this kiddo. I was his teacher in middle school. This kid taught me patience, and I’m so proud of the man he has become! Teachers, don’t doubt the seeds you plant! You may not see the results for years down the road!

I am so excited to share my next endeavor. After 6 incredible years as the principal at Nimitz Middle School, I will be taking on a new role. I was officially named the Director of Human Resources for Wimberley ISD last night! Grateful for my time at NEISD!
