I was delighted to be invited to the opening of South Cheshire’s new boxing gym on Mirion Street with Stephanie Peacock MP. The sense of community that Nathan has created hits you the second you walk through the door. I’m really proud of the government for funding this project.

I just spoke to BBC Radio Stoke to explain my position on the most recent welfare reform proposals. I welcome the government’s consultation of disabled people on the reforms, but we must listen to the outcome of this discussion before making any proposed changes.

Yesterday, I met with Education Minister Stephen Morgan MP to press for action on increased SEND provision. We discussed plans for specialist SEND places in Crewe and Nantwich and support for mainstream schools like Wistaston Academy to provide extra SEND provision.

Finally got round to listening to the The Railwaymen Podcast featuring Connor Naismith MP. One of my favourite ever episodes. Really enjoy how seamlessly Connor fits into it and feels like another football fan on the pod, rather than a politician.

This evening, I visited Springfield School to join their Meet the Teachers event and see the great work the staff are doing for their SEND students. I was impressed to see the new bespoke building that I had supported the construction of as a Councillor!
