Leadership: Leadership is an important trait and one of my weakest. In being a more experienced player on my high school team, my coaches and teammates tended to rely on me for drills, warm-ups, etc. My coach deemed me team captain and I couldn’t be happier.

Coaching: To go along with leadership, I often helped coach the girls on my team. I would run practices, help at drills and stations, and would even help my coach with the line-up. When you coach a player, there is nothing like seeing them succeed.

Communication: To me, communication is more than calling for a fly ball. It is helping your teammates adjust, picking them up, cheering and so much more. I cheered, probably more than I ever have. I also tried to teach and pick up my teammates through wins and especially losses.

Teamwork: Individualism is a common occurrence in travel. The truth is, there is only team victories and losses. With everyone in travel being so talented you can always rely on teammates to help. High school, respectfully, has taught me never to take that fact for granted.

Though there are many more things I could add about high school, I determined these as my key takeaways. Never forget that softball is more than a skill based sport, it requires leadership, communication, and teamwork. Tri-State Thunder Gold 18U @Tri16u

Pennsbury Showcase is almost here!!

Had an amazing time at the Pennsbury Showcase! My hitting was on with a .636 avg through 6 games. We had the opportunity to face one of the top 18u teams in the country! I hit a home run in this game and also had a single against a Clemson commit. Tri-State Thunder Gold 18U Tri-State Thunder Gold 16u

Did not have the weekend I hoped for in Virginia. Although I made good contact, my hits struggled to find the ground. I was able to draw some walks and get extra bases though! Hoping for a better performance in our next one!

Finished up our trip to New Jersey! Although it was not the weekend we hoped for, we bounced back from a rough first day. I had the opportunity to run for some of our players and got some extra bases!
