NYPD’s SRG is arresting Pride attendees at Washington Square Park after inexplicably closing the park—a mainstay hub for post-march celebrations—well before the midnight curfew & after NYPD top brass finished up their photo ops boasting their support for the LGBTQ+ community.

Stonewall was a riot against the NYPD. Last year, the NYPD declined to make arrests on anyone, only acting as crowd control and deescalators. This year, they’re inexplicably crushing Pride and using a counterterrorism unit that isn’t supposed to mobilize to protests to do it.
