There’s a ton of talk of creating ICU beds so here’s a short breakdown. ICU beds being created vs ICU beds we need. A bed doesn’t come with a nurse, RT, physio, nutritionist, aide, porter, or Intensivist.

Problem solved! Our code and analyses are good. The Ontario Science Advisory Table misattributed their data source for weekly new ICU admits. They used CCSO, not CCM+. Reminder: ~2 week reporting lag with CCM+ data unlike CCSO data, which reflects data from night before

In today's press conference the Premier suggested that the modelling hadn't projected these numbers of patients with COVID-19 in our ICUs. The actual number of cases in ICU is well within our projected range, and in fact, is closer to our best case scenario, rather than the worst
