Some interesting media news out of Cranston - Fans Only Sportz has won the bid to become the city’s streaming provider for high school sports, replacing NFHS Network, a partner of the RIIL. Curious to see if other towns/cities start going in this direction.

The RIIL has an exclusive deal with NFHS for championship games. With those games being played in Cranston, it means NFHS would have to hire someone to broadcast for them - or at least that’s my understanding.

Either way, this is a tremendous win for Cranston high school sports and perhaps the state as a whole. Having a local company who cares there vs a faceless national one is a big deal.
