This is awful. The Estate Agent gets 10% commission on anything over the agreed asking price. All this does is encourage the Estate Agent to purposely advertise below market value in order to stimulate a bidding war and increase their commission. Peak dysfunction. James Browne TD

Teacher unions throw out the odd article about this every now and again, but that's all they do. Schools are long past breaking point, the unions have done nothing and will continue to do nothing. Completely useless.

Nearly 2 years sale-agreed… only to have the rug pulled from under them. In many EU countries, “sale-agreed” is legally binding and breaking it has consequences. In Ireland, it’s just a handshake. We need proper sale-agreed contracts to protect buyers and sellers.
