Thank you Abigail Spanberger for calling to check on me and standing up against this hateful rhetoric. You are absolutely right, I will not back down from racist bullies, in life, or the ones hiding behind their computers at home.

BREAKING: Nearly 45% of all children in America are at risk of losing healthcare or access to food under the Republican budget. These kids rely on Medicaid for healthcare and SNAP for food. 14 million rely on both. The bill cuts both programs to fund tax breaks for the rich.

I could be wrong, but I don't think ending research grants or bumping people off their health care (via Medicaid cuts) are good for "ending the epidemic of chronic disease." Maybe he should take this tone within his own administration.

I don't want this to get lost: after RFK Jr. finished with his tantrum, he ADMITTED he is blocking BILLIONS in federal child care funding. That needs to change IMMEDIATELY.

In my latest for @TheHill, I dug into the economic nightmare Donald Trump has unleashed -- and why even Trump now finds himself trapped by it. Trump can’t wake up from his economic nightmare thehill.com/opinion/campai…

The saying that "A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting on its shoes" was true even a century ago. Today, in the age of social media, a lie can rack up millions of impressions in the time it takes to rebut it. Share responsibly!

Five years ago, George Floyd was murdered—another Black life stolen by a broken system. That wasn’t justice then, and it’s not justice now. Congress must pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act. Our communities deserve real change. Enough delay.

Memorial Day is a day to remember the fallen servicemembers who bravely answered the call not for themselves—but for democracy. It's up to us to honor their sacrifice by continuing that commitment to defend our Constitution and freedoms.

Medicaid covers 40% of all births in this country and 40% of health care for all kids. It provides postpartum care in nearly every state and makes reproductive care accessible to more than 16 million women. Remember this every time you hear a Republican pretend to care about

.Abigail Spanberger & Mikie Sherrill helped Democrats flip the House in 2018 and are now taking on a new challenge — running for governor. They’re working hard to show voters that they are going to stand up for our fundamental freedoms and stop extremism. cnn.com/2025/05/28/pol…

BREAKING: Asked about Medicaid and SNAP cuts killing people, Joni Ernst replied: “Well we all are going to die.” This is the Republican health care agenda: indifference to the lives of working families. We won’t stop fighting for care. #SaveMedicaid

Rep. Gwen Moore (@repgwenmoore) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Credit where it is due - at least “Our bill will kill you” is a lot more honest than “it doesn’t cut SNAP or Medicaid.” I generally legislate to improve lives, not end them. But that is why we have two parties.

Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester (@senlbr) 's Twitter Profile Photo

This is a shocking response to constituents asking for answers. For millions in this country, cuts to Medicaid ARE life-and-death. If Republicans are going to support these cuts, they should at least be serious and clear-eyed about the consequences.

Christina Reynolds (@creynoldsnc) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I hope the local media is asking every single Republican who voted for the Trump budget whether they agree with Joni Ernst that the Medicaid cuts are ok because "everyone's going to die." And if not, why did they vote for the bill?
