The Y12 Biologists are off out again! Today we start our 2 days in lab at Imperial College with the fantastic Dr McKinnon

Day 2 at Imperial for the Y12 biologists and lots of lovely bacteria have grown on our plates - replicating up some important plasmids for Dr McKinnon's team to use in their research! @imperial

Day 1 of the Year 10 History trip to Berlin went well. After a very early start and hour long delay, we completed almost 20,000 steps looking at the difficult recent history of Berlin including checkpoint Charlie, the wall, the reichstag and to tower

Congratulations Samuel (Year 8)! Who started to play in Southall Academy this year in March.  Samuel and the Southall Lions won the Middlesex youth football league and they were also the cup winners too. #excellence

Day 2 in Berlin. An excellent guided tour of sachsenhausen camp, shopping and trip up the Reichstag. Cultural exchange with American students too! Very exciting.

Day 1 on the Opal Coast - Year 8 exploring the beautiful Boulogne-sur-Mer and ending with a windy trip to the beach in Dunkirk!

Day 2 on the Opal Coast - an engaging visit to La Coupole History Centre in the morning learning about the war underground accompanied by a short stint into Boulogne-sur-mer and a lovely afternoon at Nausicaa Aquarium dipping hands into tanks and seeing crocodiles!

Year 8 Enrichment Week trip to see the conservation efforts of the Cassiobury Rare breeds farm. Students were excited to see the amazing selection of animals, birds and fed the goats and alpaca.

Day 3 on the Opal Coast - A trip to a Goat Farm where we stroked some goats and ate some delicious goats cheese. Followed by an excellent experience at a bakery where we made bread and croissants; finally finishing with a visit to a snail farm where we tasted a variety of snails!

Day 4 - Final day began with a visit to Le Touquet where we strolled the market streets, followed by a lovely visit to a Chocolatier before heading back to the Euro tunnel!
