Excited to be at #ATS2024 !!! Lots of amazing presentations but I am particularly excited about the presentation of our VERITAS RCT results on Tuesday, May 21, 3:15 to 3:27 PDT in Room 29A-B. Has modern bronchoscopy finally caught up with CT-guided biopsy? Come and find out!

4 ways I feel interventional pulmonologists succumb to the hammer-nail mindset and demean ourselves 🛑Sampling nodules cause ‘we can’ 🛑Valves for everyone 🛑Treating imaging and not pts, with pleural dz 🛑Stenting airways that lead to no physiological gain AABIP WABIP

Newly identified unilateral pleural effusion in a HOSPITALIZED patient - dyspnea is present. You favor this being an exudative effusion. What is your INITIAL drainage strategy if anechoic on the US? AABIP Fabien Maldonado 🇺🇸🇫🇷 David Feller-Kopman Udit Chaddha Abhinav Agrawal, MD

Thrilled to see VERITAS out in NEJM today. Nav bronch noninferior to transthoracic needle biopsy for lung nodules 10-30 mm. Nav bronch made an accurate diagnosis in 79% vs. 73% for TTNB, with pneumothorax requiring chest tube and/or hospitalization in 1% vs. 12%, respectively.
