I hate days with three shows I would like to see or shoot. I definitely won’t hate shooting the Kaitlin Butts show tonight though. If you are in St. Louis, get out to this show, JD Clayton, or Frank Turner. All of these shows will be great.
How have I avoided Will Payne Harrison all week? I think he is afraid of me.
Just had my annual leaving Americana Music Association meal. You know the one that would be ok with American Aquarium. Bo….you know.
One of my highlights from Americana Music Association was finally seeing, shooting, and meeting The Kentucky Gentlemen. It was everything I expected it to be and more.
I’m through day three of culling my Americana Music Association showcase photos and Vandoliers on a roof. Two more days and the Keystone Artists Connect showcase left. That’s only 4000 more photos.
I got through the rest of my Americana Music Association shots during lunch. There is at least one decent shot in the bunch.
Commenting on Vandoliers rooftop show last Thursday I said: “It was like an oven and we were the corndogs.” I’ve never said anything that poetic.
Got through my Americana Music Association showcase shots and got the out. Have 200 to edit from the Keystone Connect day show still. More Vandoliers and other shots. Here are a few more of The Kentucky Gentlemen.
Met a guy from work for lunch while in the Atlanta area. Went to Truist Park and ate at one of the restaurants there. It was really good and affordable. Maybe one day I can get back down for a Atlanta Braves game. It’s good to be in friendly territory.
Someone better watch Chris Hageman after this Vandy game. I’m guessing the celebration is going to be epic.
40 years ago today, I got in my car and drove to see my first concert alone. It was Dee Snider🇺🇸🎤 and Twisted Sister. My need to see them won over the anxiety of going to a show alone. That opened the floodgates for teenage me. It changed my life. I’m forever grateful to them.
