1st paper from my industry-based PhD is out! It's #qualitative #implementationresearch on stakeholders (service-based, commercial, patients) associated with the implementation of #icbt. Kinda proud of myself! #impsci #dtx

Hi grad programs! If your letter of recommendation portal requires me to rate a student's "emotional stability" or similar, I will endorse everyone's "stability" as "once-in-a-decade" until you remove this stigmatizing and frankly embarrassing (for clinical psych programs) item!

📢2nd DClin paper with UL Psychology & Acquired Brain Injury Ireland📢 In an ABI population, we found significant positive associations between quality of therapeutic relationships and clients' self-awareness, after controlling for the impact of cognitive problems on awareness tinyurl.com/2ts6yzzp

📢The first #preprint of my PhD is out!🧠doi.org/10.31234/osf.i… Do you feel you have memory problems? And would an objective test detect any? Both subjective & objective insights can help in #earlydetection of cognitive decline. Here, we used the Neureka📱 to study both! 1/n

Vagal signals are seen as inhibitory but there is lots of evidence suggesting they are way more adaptive than that. Nils Kroemer and I packed them into an easily digestible TiCS review for you to feast on 🔥 50 day free access, and a little appetizer 👇 tinyurl.com/bdh279jv

📢New preprint: Problem gamblers have higher decision and task performance confidence than matched controls, despite lower self-esteem. This isn't fully explained by their elevated Anxiety-Depression or Compulsive Behaviour and Intrusive Thought symptoms. psyarxiv.com/j59ds

My job as a research fellow at one of the world's best universities (a requirement of which is a doctorate) pays less than this and so, on this definition, I am an unskilled worker who wouldn't be allowed into the country. This system is utterly ridiculous..

How predictive are network metrics compared to baseline psychometrics? Not super good. Challenge the presumption that cross sectional networks can be used for treatment prediction Need to move to an individual level
