Longitude Prize on ALS ...it's great to see UTI a focus, given its huge prevalence (~400 mil/year) and AMR burden (~260K deaths/yr). It gives ID (5 top pathogens only) for 10^4 cfu/ml which is less sensitive than the (already not hugely sensitive) MSU, but antimicrobial profile in 45 min.

Overall, I’m really impressed with this work but look forward to real-world data - and parallel advances in more sensitive ID strategies whether based on host or microbe
