Took the floor moments ago on behalf of LLDCs to reaffirm our Countries’ commitment to the successful convening of the 3rd UN Conference on LLDCs in 2024 & also expressed solidarity with LDCs as they prepare for the 2nd part of their Conference to be held in Doha in 2023.

I had a fruitful discussion with Under-Secretary-General & Special Adviser of SG on the Prevention of Genocide, Alice Wairimu Nderitu, regarding the work of UN Genocide Prevention and how Botswana could continue to contribute to global efforts to prevent atrocity crimes, including genocide.
