I’m pretty critical of the talent ID process for US Soccer, but credit where it’s due. This is a good idea. And not just because one of my favorite former players got included… but that does help 😊

I don't mind early commitments. Nothing wrong with it. Some kids go to camp at the same school for years and know the coaches well. If a Day 1 offer comes from that school, why wait? Now if you commit a place you've never been with a coach you've never met, that's very different

I hope young American girls are watching the women’s Euros. Some good matches and differing styles of play on display. For young players who generally only watch the USWNT if that, seeing the game played from other perspectives helps grow their tactical vocabulary

I think a great adjustment for VAR would be to only allow full speed replays. No freeze frames, no slow motion. Play all the angles you want. But play them at full speed. If you can’t see it at game speed, it doesn’t need to be changed
