This week in the European Parliament, I raised Waterford Airport, at the highest levels of the EU. It is time for action. I asked the EU Transport Commissioner to consider a new EU fund for regional airports.

Today an impassioned, angry and lively debate took place in the Parliament in Strasbourg entitled :Stopping the genocide in Gaza: time for EU sanctions.  This is the first time Israel's actions in Gaza have been described as "genocide".

I am deeply concerned about escalating Israeli military strikes on Iran and by Iranian attacks on Israel in response. Innocent lives are being lost – on top of the unlawful killed of 55,000 Palestinians so far. It is time for the EU, finally, to act. 🇵🇸
