Players: Think about how many people help you on a daily basis: parents, coaches, teachers, friends, etc. Those people are trying their best to help you succeed. If you quit working, quit giving your all & become lazy, you’re disrespecting every effort others have put into you!

Players: Losing games is part of playing games. Great teams always come together to find a way to overcome while at the same moments, other teams make excuses & fall apart. Great teams have tough, gritty players who love to battle, love to compete & stay committed to the process.

Two athletes have the chance to prepare for an opportunity. One does & one doesn’t. The opportunity never comes. I’ll take the player who prepared any day. He/she is better, tougher, more confident/resilient, can accept setbacks. He/she is set for success. The other, not so much.

I spent a whopping $2 today at school because 4 of my students didn’t have money for 50 cent popcorn day and you would have thought I gave them a trip to Disney world. All kids need is for you to show them you care. And days like this remind me why I chose this profession

If you have a former coach who you can still call, Snap, Facebook, text, FaceTime, etc. then you had a coach who put you first & created lifelong, caring relationships with players. That isn’t always the case, so consider yourself lucky & keep those relationships close to heart.

Time is our life currency. Choose to spend it with people you value & who give you high energy exchange rates. That’s time well spent. Invest in those who invest in you. Don’t waste it with people who bring negativity & excuses. Capitalize on every second. Our time is priceless!

3 truths about our time on this earth: None of us know how much time we have. Time isn’t promised & it isn’t guaranteed. We can’t ever save time or get it back; when it’s gone, it’s gone forever. The time we do have can’t be stopped or paused. Appreciate the time you have now.
