13. Don't provoke altercations or disturbances on the floor with musical selections just for the gram. If you see the crowd is getting too amped then you have a responsibility to reign it in so people stay safe and go home to their loved ones.

14. Arrive well in time for your set, be nice to everyone you encounter and listen to at least some of set of the Dj who takes over from you. We are building the night together , it's not all about you.

15. Learn about the parts of the business you don't like and if you can't be bothered then get someone on your team who can take care of the bits you don't like. This is anti shafting behaviour and another step in the prevention of getting burned

16. Deejaying will impact your mental health so make sure you take the steps to balance out the highs and the lows . Sleep routines, exercise, not smashing the alcohol etc will help prolong your involvement in the beautiful art.

Last one for today. If you are feeling frustrated by your progress take some time off the socials particularly during festival season. Jealousy, resentment and deejaying are not a great mix..
