2 graduations weeks apart to celebrate 5 years of study 👩🎓 Today I finally graduated from my Biology at York MBiol 🔬 It's so great to be back on the University of York campus after 2 years! 🦆 And last month I was awarded my MRes in cardiovascular science from Division of Cardiovascular Sciences UoM Biology, Medicine and Health 🎊

Division of Cardiovascular Sciences set up to explain how the heart works as part of our widening participation and social responsibility efforts. Katharine Dibb and team #socialresponsibility. As always thanks British Heart Foundation for their support

Join us today at the Neural Disorders RIG session at #ZDM15 for exciting talks by Daisy Flatman @victor_tapia_o and Flavia de Santis. Discuss how we can improve communication and collaborations across the globe. ZDMSociety #zebrafish

A BIG Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays from the Brain Inflammation Group!🧑🎄Celebrating a wonderful year of exciting research and lots of new faces. Refreshments (& alpacas!) kindly provided by Proteintech Group 🧪🔬

Great day celebrating SVD research across Greater Manchester at the 2023 SVD@The Jeff meeting. Great talks and posters from UoM Biology, Medicine and Health GJBrainResearch and Manchester Metropolitan Uni. Thank you Mark Nelson Lab for your excellent keynote talk and Nick Klug for your talk on novel methods to study SVD.

📢It's that time again! Our next research spotlight will be hosted by Evolution, Infection and Genomics (EIG) UoM, with a guest speaker from Division of Neuroscience Join us to hear from @rctwright, Daisy Flatman, and Jarred Lorusso👉eventbrite.co.uk/e/sbs-research… 📆17th February (12-1pm in the Michael Smith Lecture Theatre)

It was great to have the opportunity to present my PhD research at today's UoM SBS Research Spotlight seminar as the guest speaker from Division of Neuroscience 🐟🧠. Thanks for having me Evolution, Infection and Genomics (EIG) UoM!

At The University of Manchester , scientists have developed new models to investigate brain haemorrhage that can replace the use of mammals. This brilliant video explains how we’re doing it The National Centre for the 3Rs Understanding Animal Research Science Media Centre UK youtu.be/hsSwcmoeihw

I have had such a brilliant time at #ASMB2023 in #SLC2023. It's been great to meet fellow matrix biologists and receive such valuable feedback on my PhD work. A special thank you to DMM Journal and Guarantors of Brain for awarding me travel funding.

We had a great day celebrating SVD research across greater Manchester and beyond GJBrainResearch Division of Cardiovascular Sciences Neuroscience_MMU Sheffield Neurovascular Lab. Special thanks to Scott Earley for his great talk on Col4a1 mutations on cerebrovascular ion channel functions

I had a great time at the Division of Cardiovascular Sciences showcase today. I am really chuffed to have been awarded first prize for my talk! 🐟

Daisy Flatman is developing new zebrafish models for cerebral small vessel disease. She is using these zebrafish to understand the biological mechanisms leading to haemorrhagic stroke, and how we could use drugs to protect against them.

A KasherLab double whammy!! 🐟 BIG congrats to zebrafish enthusiasts Dr Emily McMahon (Emily McMahon) and Dr Daisy Flatman (Daisy Flatman) for passing their PhD vivas last week! 🎉 Excited to see where your research takes you next! 🧠🫀
