Trialling out the ibidi GmbH microfluidic pump system from Thistle Scientific in the Tsaousis LAB @ University of Kent ๐ช๐บ, as well as the gas and heat chamber. Excited to start testing microfluidic devices!

Just made it to Royal Veterinary College (RVC) for two days of learning how to culture Eimeria!

Daisy Daisy Shaw from my Tsaousis LAB @ University of Kent ๐ช๐บ School of Biosciences, University of Kent is presenting her PhD work on developing microfluidic devices to cultivate #Blastocystis during the BlastocystisCOST training school in Singapore!

Daisy Daisy Shaw is currently at the BlastocystisCOST training school learning how to culture #Blastocystis and develop methods of how to explore host-parasite-microbiome interactions!

Currently waiting for my flight home after a great week in Singapore for the 1st BlastocystisCOST training school at NUS Department of Microbiology and Immunology It has been a wonderful week of learning about Blastocystis from the best and Iโm looking forward to getting back to the lab to apply all Iโve learnt

En route to King's College London ๐ for an NMR symposium by the Centre For Biomolecular Spectroscopy. Looking forward to learning lots about the interdisciplinary approaches of using nuclear magnetic resonance.

Day 1 of Organ-on-a-chip masterclass with AZAR Innovations. Time to learn how to make an intestine on a chip!

Daisy Shaw is kicking off the #omics session during the #Blastocystis24! BlastocystisCOST Microbiology Society

Thank you to the Microbiology Society for awarding me a Research Visit Grant to support my training with a collaborator in the Czech Republic!

Meet Daisy Shaw! This week, weโre introducing Daisy Shaw, a PhD student at the University of Kent, UK, working under our Action! ๐ฌ Research interests: Blastocystis-microbiome interactions (multi-omics) In vitro culturing of Blastocystis #Blastocystis #Microbiome #OneHealth

Happy to announce that our latest publication has been released! This is an update on the field of Blastocystis, focusing on the key messages delivered at the Fourth International Blastocystis Conference back in September BlastocystisCOST open-research-europe.ec.europa.eu/articles/5-11

As part of our Moore Foundation funded project on #Gregarines #symbiosis we are advertising an 18-months technician post in my Tsaousis LAB @ University of Kent ๐ช๐บ at School of Biosciences, University of Kent ! Please spread the word! jobs.kent.ac.uk/Vacancy.aspx?iโฆ
