As part of our drive towards improvement in and enjoyment of reading, we have established some new outdoor reading libraries and areas. Perfect weather for some outdoor reading today! A huge well done to E on receiving the Dorothy Carmichael Memorial Trophy from Argyll Trefoild Guild, recognising her tremendous efforts for community fundraising and her support of armed forces. VE DAY 80 β€οΈ A day of Remembrance, reflection and celebration as we acknowledged the 80th anniversary of VE Day, starting with a 1 minute silence observed by pupils and staff, prior to lunch break Argyll and Bute Council Education Service UNCRC Article 19 OCTF: Connected Learners


A group of pupil and staff representatives joined family and community members to pay their respects at the VE Day 80 Remembrance Service at the War Memorial β€οΈπ Argyll and Bute Council Education Service School Values: Community, Care, Respect UNCRC Article 19 OCTF: Connected Learners


VE Day celebrations were re-enacted with our very own 'Playground Party' - waving our flags in victory, listening and dancing to some very famous songs from the time and enjoying ice lollies as a special treat in the sun πβ€οΈπ Argyll and Bute Council Education Service OCTF: Connected & Nurtured Learners


VE DAY 80 β€οΈ - P3 tried on a real soldierβs helmet and designed their own - P4 completed a kahoot quiz together - P5 pupils created fact files and compiled their own quiz questions - P6 and P7/6 created their own VE Day memorial medals and posters to mark the occasion Argyll and Bute Council Education Service

P1 enjoyed playing games, singing songs and reading stories outside in the sunshine P1 have enjoyed plenty of reading opportunities, helping to foster a shared love of stories and build a lifelong enjoyment of reading from an early age OCTF - Best Start for Learners Argyll and Bute Council Education Service


Primary 4 and 4/3 pupils were exploring texture by printing leaves using oil pastels today.
