If Brian Cox said it...it must be true! On the eve of Dalkey Book Festival thanks Eason for the massive economic graffiti on the side of the Dun Laoghaire branch. The paperback of Money is out now.

Beautiful event examining the legacy of the poet Michael Longley with Paul Muldoon, John Banville and Wendy Erskine. The influences on his development, his intimate connection to nature and the West of Ireland, his heart-stopping poetry written during The Troubles.

Hands down best panel discussion I’ve ever been at. Disagreement between panellists. Banville tells the Shakespeare expert Shapiro that Shakespeare was a terrible playwright. Hanff Korelitz explains her growing hunger for plot in such an insightful way that it was properly

Such a special event with Carlo Gebler - that was effortless for his mother (Edna O’Brien) and this connection to her unconscious was something established in childhood. The natural world comforted her; the land, the stones, the earth, all these things had a spirit to her.
