A brief hello 👋 Some photos from the opening reception of 'If Not Here, Then Where?' and artist lecture at CT State earlier this month. The exhibition is open through January. In other news, I'm over at bsky. Same handle, same antics.

I spoke with eman for her solo exhibition of 'Elsewhere' about escapism, the environment, materiality, and photography's strange relationship with AI at Investec Cape Town Art Fair at Hunna Art Gallery. hunna.art/publications/2…

I dance regularly to ass-shake the scaries away. Last night, friends and I went to a gay party that came highly recommended. When we got there it was 99.8% men and four women, two of which were dressed as clowns. I suspect it’s a metaphor for something, I’m just not sure what.

Today, I turn 41. I went to the studio and toiled over a commission. For lunch, I grabbed a drink with my dear friend and mentor. The current state of the world couldn't be more complicated, but I'm very thankful for the grey hairs and the privilege to keep showing up every day.

It's been a moment since I shared some new images from the series, Psychic Telephone—a collaboration with the author Marin Sardy. It's affirming to see a body of work emerge from time and effort spent. It's a slow process, but it happens bit by bit.

My favorite time of the year is when I start printing my work, getting exhibition-ready, and inviting people into the studio for private viewings before things ship off, which is what I'm busy with all this month. From the series Psychic Telephone, UV prints on metal, 16x20"
