Review of #crop risks and economic thresholds of important #wheat #pests (#aphids, #midges, gout fly) in the U.K. and northern #Europe - article in AgronomySustainDev by Daniel Leybourne, Kate Storer and others like Sam Telling - doi.org/10.1007/s13593… 🔓

Can artificial intelligence be integrated into pest monitoring schemes to achieve sustainable agriculture? We discuss this in a new Agricultural and Forest Entomology perspectives article. Ideas developed from our Innovate UK project Inst of Infection Veterinary & Ecological Sciences ADAS Nasamu Musa resjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/af…

Aphid populations differ in their capacity to transmit yellow dwarf virus. In my @Royalcom1851 fellowship Inst of Infection Veterinary & Ecological Sciences I've been looking into processes that explain this. In a new Biology Letters paper we link transmission efficiency with vector genotype. royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/10.1098/rs…

Tomorrow is the deadline to submit an abstract to Royal Entomological Society's #Ento24! Whether joining in person or online, there are opportunities for all to present their work to the global entomological community. Abstract deadline: 17:00 (BST), Friday 14 June. royensoc.co.uk/ento24-abstrac…
