Designing the new Ghostty icon for Tahoe was a fun challenge. Liquid glass with layered specular effects. A mix of texture and translucency. Holds up across all the modes. Pushed Icon Composer in some interesting ways. Proud to collaborate with Mitchell Hashimoto on this.

Finally did a HUGE update for my Sanskrit Keyboard app!! Very happy about this. And as always - working with keyboards is extremely extremely hard, so I’m beyond grateful for Daniel Saidi for making and maintaining KeyboardKit for soooo long! Thank you!!

StandardAction 0.9.1 is out! 🚀 This update adds image & git actions. There are also new standard actions that can be executed, new toggle utilities, etc. Using this lib can remove a LOT of action/button-related translations & logic from #SwiftUI apps 💡 github.com/danielsaidi/St…

my favorite related insight from 10+ years ago was when Facebook had their own custom loader. when they used the custom loader, people blamed Facebook for the slowness. when they used the system spinner, people assumed their phone/ios was the issue.

PickerKit 0.3 is out! 🚀 This version has a custom font type that can load custom fonts from any app or package bundle. This type can be used with the package's #SwiftUI font picker, which makes it easy to pick native and custom fonts with the same picker. github.com/danielsaidi/Pi…

I just released a new #Swift package - FontKit. 🚀 This is a tiny package that makes it super easy to define and use custom fonts in #SwiftUI, UIKit and AppKit. The first 0.1 is out, with a demo app and an embedded font that shows how to use the package. github.com/danielsaidi/Fo…

I've made it a lot easier to create and design custom skins for my #SwiftUI skeuomorphic wallet app Wally. The next version will get support for custom fonts, a new corduroy skin collection, and a new red denim skin. wally.app

I met a few indie friends in Da Nang, Vietnam earlier this year and we decided to host a 1-month hacker house this November! We rented a villa (pics below) for the location. The point is to create a distraction-free cowork space to lock in and build your startup with 9 other

Breaking up SwiftUIKit into smaller packages and creating a company-specific package for things that should be the same across apps, has been a fun challenge. SwiftUIKit is now smaller, KankodaKit only pulls in what's needed for the app foundation and apps can add more if needed.
