A bit late to the parade... but a huge congratulations to Misbath Daouda for her truly excellent dissertation defense and her new position at UC Berkeley! Working with you has been an absolute delight and I can't wait to see what you do next.

very exciting workshop earlier this week with Government of Ghana partners on our clean household energy transition collaboration (Kintampo Health Research Centre (KHRC) + UCSB Bren School + ColumbiaPublicHealth)

Does cooking with gas increase health risks? Our new randomized study says yes. We find that NO2 exposures are 50% higher when you cook with gas vs. induction. Congratulations Abhishek Kar, KP Asante and the teams at Columbia University, UCSB Bren School and Kintampo Health Research Centre (KHRC) ! These are important results and will feed in to ongoing policy work in Ghana.

Thanks to support from Clean Cooking Alliance (CCA) & partners, policymakers & businesses are realizing that #CleanCooking is a huge business opportunity & solvable problem, especially when supported by robust #CarbonMarkets. Read more via @Nichferris Energy Monitor: ow.ly/z0yn50QIizj

fascinating day yesterday at the International Energy Agency Clean Cooking in Africa summit. Running into former postdoc Abhishek Kar was a highlight!
