Yesterday I was lucky enough to see a mother and calf humpback whale on a round-the-island tug trip. They followed us throughout the day - it was pretty magical! ✨🐋

With this months New Moon comes another Light Trapping session💡🪲

Today we collected sediment panels from Clarence Bay as part of our ongoing #biosecurity monitoring Ascension Island MPA and processed water samples for eDNA analysis! #smallislandBIGVISION

Every new moon, when the sky is darkest, we use light traps to survey Ascension's zooplankton. Collecting this information will help us to monitor the health of the ocean around Ascension. #smallislandBIGVISION
