Following the heat and humidity the past few weeks - Gray Leaf Spot is starting to show itself in Southern IL

Here is an estimate on when we will black layer and also be at 20% moisture. Our goal is to be #green and #healthy all the way to black layer. AgriGold

Corn is in that peak water use from tassel to dent stage. Keep irrigation running steady during dry periods. This is especially important for corn hybrids that flex mainly by kernel depth. These hybrids should be watered to black layer to maximize yield. AgriGold

Southern Rust is ramping up in KS & NE! Most corn hybrids do not have very good tolerance. Like Tar Spot disease, this disease can infect aggressively and significantly reduce grain yields. Fungicide is highly rec’d to protect the last 30-40 days of grain fill. AgriGold
