I know there’s limited time but the wonderful Mitzi Gaynor should have been included in that In Memoriam montage. She’s being fondly remembered in our house at least.

And with that, Sean Baker becomes the first person ever to win four Oscars for the same film. So well deserved.

Basically my face when Mikey Madison won Best Actress. Demi Moore could not have been more gracious. Thrilled for my favorite film of the year.

It’s a fun night on @TCM tonight as we celebrate the acting career of future Oscar-winning director Ron Howard. I’ll have American Graffiti & The Courtship of Eddie’s Father of course, but the lineup also includes the TCM premiere of The Spikes Gang from 1974 with Lee Marvin.

For a major Michael Clayton fan like myself this is very cool. Filmmaker Tony Gilroy (now the showrunner of Andor) joins me on TCM tonight to introduce three of his favorite films: Klute (1971), This Land Is Mine (1943), and Dead End (1937). Hope to see you starting at 8ET/5PT.

I’m sad to hear about Lalo Schifrin. I interviewed him for EW in 1996 and asked about his iconic Mission: Impossible theme in 5/4 time. He said, “I always say that things are in 2/4 or 4/4 because people dance with two legs. I did it for people from outer space with five legs.”
