Here we have a novel biosensor featuring a disordered protein surrounded by two fluorescent proteins. Preprint is at biorxiv.org/content/10.110…. Tweetorial is attached. Proud to have been a member of this team led by Cesar Cuevas-Velazquez and also including Karina Guadalupe and Shahar Sukenik.

Excited to present a poster today on the structural preferences of intrinsically disordered regions and how they adapt to changes in the surrounding environment in vitro and in live cells. If you are at #bps2022, it would be great to see you there. 1553-Pos/B11

Our December issue is compiled! The cover depicts how the intrinsic disorder of proteins may act as cellular sensors of their #physicochemical environment (i.e. temperature, pH, redox state). David Moses Garrett Ginell Alex Holehouse Shahar Sukenik cell.com/trends/biochem…

Fantastic work by Fan Cao and Kresten Lindorff-Larsen - glad to see (a) David Moses's Gly-Ser constructs put to good use for calibrating a forcefield, and (b) a coarse grained forcefield that can provide realistic ensembles of multi-domain proteins!!
