Beyond appalled at the way Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) are treating Hillsborough Survivors. Letters through the post telling them they are lying and their recollections are incorrect! Why the hell was a system not put in place for a drop in or at least a telephone helpline!!!

Superb, must-watch documentary about South Yorkshire police brutality at Orgreave during the 1984-85 miners strike, and prosecution of miners described as "the biggest frame up ever", now on Netflix.

Sadly it has taken nearly 25 years for me others and 34 years for Oliver to get this blatant and obvious conviction quashed but I’m absolutely delighted that we didn’t give up and that eventually justice prevailed We really should do better than this!

Must-read on Al Fayed by then Vanity Fair editor: brave women came forward in the 90s, the magazine had formidable evidence of his abuse, but settled the libel case after Diana and Dodi died. Fayed carried on for years after that, and reaped popularity through Fulham FC.

Important ⁦⁦The Guardian⁩ recognition of how the preventative potential of inquests is undermined by the lack of oversight of actions taken in response. This fails bereaved people and the public. An accountability gap that needs urgently addressing. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

Must-read on Britain's / Labour's stance on reparations, by Aamna Mohdin: 'Many experts felt it showed deep ignorance ... It displays a gap in race and equality policymaking in No 10, which confirmed that Starmer does not have a specific race adviser.' theguardian.com/world/2024/oct…
