Today we’re celebrating National ODP Day. Lee Bennett’s career as an Operating Department Practitioner began in 1998. Lee is currently Associate Director of Health Professionals at Wirral University Teaching Hospital. #NationalODPDay

David Lee trained as an Operating Department Practitioner at Edge Hill University. He is now an anaesthetic practitioner. He’s also a Clinical Practice Specialist in the Education Team in Theatre, helping to train other members of staff.

Clare Kilbride (Colorectal Surgical Care Practitioner - ODP) started her training from school and has since gained her Batchelor of Science and Masters Degrees, whilst working. She encourages others to take up this role, due to its diversity and opportunities available.
