🚨 Pleased to introduce our invited speakers 🗣️🗣️ working with #hybrid #modeling and #digitaltwin systems for flood hazard and risk assessment 🤖 ➡️🏞️🌊Come join us in our session at AGU (American Geophysical Union) 😄 #AGU24

Excited to attend #AWRA2024 for the first time. I’ll be talking about a nice application of linked hydrodynamic models and machine learning to uncertainty quantification. See you this afternoon! Virginia Tech Civil and Environmental Engineering

Samuel Daramola and Md Shadman Sakib will be presenting their research in the Virginia Tech ‘s Water Resources Colloquium💧🌊 Drop by this afternoon to learn more about state-of-the-art methods for predicting #compound #flood #dynamics and #nonlinear #interactions🤓🤓

We had lots of fun playing with dye, water, sand, and legos and explaining #hurricanes, compound #flooding, and #sea level rise 🌊 to kids and their parents in Spanish! Gracias Fralin Life Sciences Institute por organizar Kids’ Tech University en Español.

We just had the opportunity to present in this international workshop. Thanks to CMCC Foundation - Centro Euro Mediterraneo sui Cambiamenti Climatici FOCCUS Want to know more? Pleased to introduce a new generation of compound flood modelers! This Fall, they simulated pluvial, fluvial & coastal flooding due to Hurricane Helene and designed hazard scenarios by linking statistical and 2D hydrodynamic modeling. So proud of this group! Virginia Tech Civil and Environmental Engineering

🚨Free access to Samuel Daramola’s latest research is available now! Check how customized deep learning architectures 🤖 can learn (and predict) compound flood dynamics 🌊 in space🌌 & time⏳for multiple cyclonic events🌀⛈️ authors.elsevier.com/c/1l0tC4sKhEgv… Virginia Tech Civil and Environmental Engineering UA College of Engineering

A great collaboration with colleagues from Virginia Tech Civil and Environmental Engineering and Water and Climate - VUB We push the boundaries of transfer learning for #extreme water level prediction 🌊 across scales! Virginia Tech News Stayed tuned for a follow up study at the global scale 🤓 🌎🌍🌏 news.vt.edu/articles/2025/…

Grateful with Fredricka Whitfield and her team from CNN for the opportunity to talk about the CoRAL Lab 🪸 VT My research group combines physics-based and data-driven models #AI to improve the prediction of compound flood hazards and risks Virginia Tech Civil and Environmental Engineering #GoHokies
