Next to my bed, I have a terrarium. In the terrarium, there are a couple dozen isopods. Watching them do their isopod thing is really fun. It's like having a tiny wildlife show on demand, in 3D, 30cm from where I sleep. I love it.

My cat, who's had oral problems as long as we've had him, who had most of his teeth removed a couple years back, and who knocked out one of his big fangs recently, last night left the other one on the living room floor. At least he seems more comfortable now. Two teeth left...

My ability to scan film this week depends entirely on how aggressively they continue to tear up all the streets in my neighborhood. Vibrations matter. Once scanned maps at high resolution in a university library basement. People closing doors on other floors ruined scans.
