Hospitals are always busy and noisy which people with a learning disability find overwhelming. Looking for a quiet place for them to wait in will decrease anxiety and then wanting to leave. #BHRUTLDWeek2024

People who have Down syndrome usually have a learning disability. This is different in each person. 1 in every 800 babies will be born with Down syndrome. Down syndrome occurs naturally – there is no known cause. #WorldDownSyndromeDay #ImproveOurSystems #LOTSOFSOCKS

Happy Learning Disability Week 2025! To kick-start the week, we begin with our reasonable adjust for Monday, which would be about the Learning Disability Hospital Passport where it will give you invaluable information how to support someone in hospital.

2nd day for LD week 2025 and our reasonable adjustment of the day is offering first or last appointment of the day. This adjustment allows for a less overwhelming experience, improving their ability to engage with the appointment and receive appropriate care.
