A news tidbit: This week the D.C. Council will vote on an emergency bill from Christina Henderson that will allow pharmacies to administer the COVID-19 vaccine without a doctor's prescription. Because of changes at the federal level, local pharmacies have been requiring a prescription.

Interesting: Tomorrow the D.C. Council will vote on an emergency bill from Councilmember Brooke Pinto that would eliminate the mandatory retirement age of 60 for police officers/firefighters. Her office says it's a means to keep experienced officers around and mitigate retirement bubbles.

Also on the D.C. Council's agenda tomorrow: An extension of the expanded juvenile curfew that the council, at Mayor Muriel Bowser's behest, put in place over the summer. It expanded the age range of kids covered by the curfew, and allows police to designate enhanced curfew zones.

House has passed the D.C. CRIMES Act, which caps eligibility for lighter sentencing under the Youth Rehabilitation Act at 18 instead of 24 and requires judges to issue mandatory mins. 31 Dems joined R's in the 240-179 vote.

And the House has passed legislation lowering the age D.C. teens can be charged as adults to 14 by vote of 225-203. Fewer Dems - 8 - joining on this one. Just one Republican, Massie, voted against the D.C. bills.

NEWS: The revised $3.7 billion Commanders stadium deal gets final approval in the D.C. Council, with only Councilmember_RobertWhite and Brianne K. Nadeau voting against it. Councilmember Matt Frumin changed his vote from the first vote in August, and supported the deal. CM Trayon White voted in favor.
