This Blood Cancer Awareness Month, we’re launching a landmark new report: Taking blood cancer out of the shadows: A plan to increase survival, that details how blood cancer survival in the UK is being overshadowed 🩸

Today we Blood Cancer UK are launching our landmark report into blood cancer survival in the UK. This will make for difficult reading for our community, but we have a plan to increase survival. Find out more bloodcancer.org.uk/about-us/our-c…

This afternoon, I attended the launch of the Blood Cancer UK report to bring blood cancer out of the shadows, which sets out a plan of action for swifter diagnosis and quality care needed to ensure the best possible chance of survival.

I back Blood Cancer UKs plan to increase survival in the UK. We need to take blood cancer out of the shadows. We need workforce future-proofing, swifter diagnosis, to ensure best care and equal access to trials and treatments. Great to meet with them with Tom Gordon MP

It was great meeting with Blood Cancer UK today to hear about their landmark report. In the last 10 years, 1 million+ potential years of life have been lost to blood cancer, this needs to change. The event was sponsored by the lovely Alliance Party in Westminster MP Sorcha Eastwood MP ❤️

Was good to meet representatives from Blood Cancer UK and attend the AGM of the all party group for Radiotherapy today, causes that I am keen to support given my own medical history of treatment for POEMS Syndrome.

I said I would campaign on cancer not just for Lagan Valley, but right across the UK & Ireland- yesterday was one of the first step by launching a report from Blood Cancer UK 1 in 2 of us will get cancer across these islands & we must do all we can to help families & patients

I attended Blood Cancer UK’s parliamentary reception to launch their Blood Cancer Action Plan, which outlines the necessary steps needed for improvement. Blood cancer is the third leading cause of cancer deaths in the UK, and we are falling behind other comparable countries.
