Finishing up all the prep work. So grateful for Dead to the Core 💙💙💙 He helped me all day. Without him I would still be cooking. Made the first Turkey today along with the Giblet Gravy, Twice Baked Potato Casserole, Bread Stuffing, Apple Crisp, Pumpkin Pies, and Dinner Rolls.

Had a great day celebrating with all the kids. The food and the company was wonderful and it went too fast as always. So much work but totally worth it to be able to send them home with leftovers for the weekend. Have a grateful weekend everyone!

The Dead rolled into Lakeland, Florida, on this day in 1980 for a one-off show during their mini-tour through the Sunshine State and Georgia. Returning to the Lakeland Civic Center after a three-year hiatus, the band delivered the first electric renditions of 'Deep Elem Blues'

🧐Hanging with the Grateful Dead through the years on various projects. Some were left at good ideas, and just that, other productions were global and in tune with the day.

The Dead played a smoking hot set of two shows at the Stanley Theatre in Pittsburgh on November 30th and December 1st, 1979—ten years after their first show at the venue with The Fugs and the Velvet Underground. They would open up the show with a stellar “Alabama Getaway”,
